Anything for food?

I haven't been meeting Nab as often as before. She's been busy working for her family's business and traveling around with her friends and family. It's all been catching up through text messages on Kakao and reading each other tweets or watching each other's snaps on Snapchat. Since she's living in Pioneer now, it's been really hard trying to meet each other. Come back to CCK already.

Yesterday we finally met after what seems like ages (honestly I'm exaggerating, but yeah I'm pretty clingy you see!) and we decided to have lunch at NTU. I heard from a friend that there's authentic Korean food there, and Daya told me to try it too.

We went all the way to the very ulu part of Singapore for the samgyetang but the ahjumma just had to go "Sorry, finished!" when we ordered for it and still smiling after that. Can you hear our heart break into pieces? Because we're really missing Korea and the delicious food there.

The food isn't as authentic as I thought it would be. But better than nothing. The portion though, pretty satisfying.

Getting to the Quad wasn't as easy as I thought it would be. I remember going to NTU back then but really, that was years ago. So when Nab and I got lost, I told her "Hey, maybe we should ask someone!" and a guy was walking slowly towards our direction. So I gathered all the courage and went up to him.

Me: Hey, do you know where is this place called the Quad?
Him: *holding up his hand* Sorry I'm busy. *runs away*

Like seriously dude, you didn't look like you were busy few minutes ago. Sheesh. Nab just had to laugh at me and tweeted about it. I felt rejected boohoo.

Right after that, Nab and I decided to chill at Archipelago Creamery.

We talked for hours there, and really our plans for opening our own cafe sounded pretty great. You know how cafes these days are all overpriced but the food is just... meh? Yeah we hate that. And I am, for sure a pretty fussy eater.

We both also agreed on the fact that cafes these days are winning just because of the ambience. So yes, once we sort and plan things out properly, our cool ass cafe dream will happen. Well, hopefully.

To a much more successful future together.

Love, S.
