what a way to end my 2016, and to start my 2017

The past few weeks have been going so crazy. So many things to share, so many things I wanna blog about so that I can read back one day and reminisce all those good memories.

Few months ago, I posted about asking for permission from my parents about a trip with Daya. The trip happened, just not the two of us. But five.

Haris, Syahirah and Hamid decided to join us about a month before the trip. People thought they were people I got to know in KL. NOOOOOOO guys, they're my friends. We are REAL friends.

We girls took the bus from Singapore to KL first, and really... I couldn't believe how near KL is to Singapore. Maybe because I slept most of the time in the bus, but I do that most of the time whenever I travel. I just felt like the drive up to KL was so short as compared to when my dad drives up. 🤔

The moment we arrived in KL, we checked in at our hotel and went out to shop at Bukit Bintang.

I stayed at Berjaya Times Square for the whole trip. Honestly I love the location so much, like if I'm hungry, all I got to do is go down and get some food. But the service was pretty disappointing. Come on Berjaya, step up your game. The wifi sucks btw, thank God I bought data there which costs RM38.

The boys joined us for dinner later that night, and the next day we went for a hike at Bukit Tabur.

Everyone around me probably find it weird. I don't hike in Singapore, but I hiked in KL while on holiday?! I do work out, but hike is on another level.

When Daya and I planned the itinerary for this trip, we wanted to do more than just shopping and eating. One of the things we wanted to do was actually bathing with elephant. Well, we cancelled that off, probably saving it for some other time.

We found this activity on someone's blog and decided to give it a try.

I was so thankful that Haris offered to carry my bag for me during the hike. All I did was focus on the hike alone, the only baggage I'm carrying is... well, me.

Syahirah has this anxiety problem which made her feeling like she's always having stomachache and diarrhea. We even went back to the toilet at the petrol kiosk near the hiking area just for her. I was pretty worried at first. Luckily she was kinda fine all the way.

The hike started off pretty easy at first, but it got even more challenging as I went further up. But the crazy part was when we had to go back down. I really felt like a monkey that whole day. Grabbing on trees and swinging myself here and there... Thank God I came back down safe and in one piece.

I almost fell while taking a picture so Daya tried saving me, and this picture turned out SO wrong.

I'm just so glad that the three of us girls survived this hike.

Yup, my butt was so dirty by the end of the hike because I'm just so clumsy.
Totally worth it tho.
Also, I'm just so proud of myself. 😌

I couldn't have done it without our guide Amos and of course, Hamid and Haris. They were really a great help for 3 girls who clearly think they are the princesses of Singapore.

This trek is called Dragon Back Trek. If I can survive this, I'm sure anyone can do it. Plus it's a good workout while on a holiday.

We were done by 11 in the morning, so right after that, I went for dip in the pool. Totally a good way to get rid of all the body aches. I didn't ache so much after the hike, thanks to the pool. The water in the pool was CRAZILY cold, so cold I felt like I'm doing the ice bucket challenge.

The next day I went to District 21, all the way in Putrajaya.

Because they only allowed proper shoes in District 21 and I didn't really feel like wearing my muddy sport shoes, Daya and I bought cheap fake Adidas and Nike shoes for this. Not sure when else will I wear it now... I need to stop buying things on impulse.

I had a lot of fun at District 21, surprisingly... It's a place for kids so I'm not sure whether I still have yet to grow up or something else.

If you're expecting crazy adrenaline rush kinda games, I'm sorry to break it to you, you'll be disappointed. All the videos on YouTube about District 21 definitely overhyped the place. But I had fun, still. Because I make do with what I have HAHA

Right after going to District 21, I stopped by the Damansara area to eat Nora Danish's cafe.

The food there was actually quite good. I think the bad reviews people had been giving about the place were probably from her haters. Or jealous people who couldn't open up a cafe with pretty decent food.

Syahirah wanted to go to Hard Rock Cafe so badly, so we did that night.

I thought Hard Rock would be those kind of chill pubs, but no... I was wrong. It was crazy ROCK kinda pub. I mean, what can I expect from a pub called Hard Rock.

My entertainment for that night was definitely these two men right here.

If you follow me on Twitter, you would know what happened. Heck, I shall just share it here then.

So these two men were sitting opposite me for about an hour plus before I realized that there's something awkward between the two of them. They didn't utter a single word to each other for a good one hour. All they did was eat, drink and their eyes glued to their phones. They didn't even bop their heads to the music.

So I was wondering whether they were enemies and friends. I mean, you didn't talk to each other AT ALL. Not even looking into each other's eyes.

And then, the DJ started playing Titanium and Firework... all they did was fistbump each other. So I was like, "Maybe they're friends."

They then started talking again after 30 minutes or so, and then changed their seats. For a moment, I was shocked and scared.... like what if they realized that I had been staring at them for quite some time. (Maybe they actually did, but whatever.)

My friends then decided to change seats too, so here I am with a very "subtle" selfie with one of the guys.

They are soooooo tall. I have a feeling they're basketball players or something. The guy in cap looked similar to Usher btw.

Two girls who were speaking Malay to each other came to join them after that. Probably a double date, but the guy in cap kept using his phone and viewing other people's Snapchat. His friends really updated their Snapchat like crazy man. (yes, I was peeping at his phone.)

They changed seats again, and well I spotted them. Daya thought they went home...

When we were about to leave Hard Rock, the DJ was playing Get Lucky. All I can say is that, the four of them were probably about to get lucky that night!

The whole trip was amazing. The boys were really patient with us girls and I love how we girls were on this whole matching tees, matching sweatshirts, matching shorts and many more. It's like we're sisters, but we're not.

A day after I got back from KL, I went back to Batam after years of not going back there.

I felt really tired, like I'm suffering from jetlag. Seriously, how do people travel for work all the time? My body couldn't keep up with all the travelling...

I used to go to Batam a lot when I was younger because there was a period of time my Dad used to work there. So I spent my holidays there to spend time with him, but really we didn't do anything there when I was younger.

Now that we are older, my brothers and I appreciate shopping and grooming ourselves so we enjoyed our time back in Batam. You can say Indonesia is my second home. I'm going back to Indonesia so many countless times in my life, I seriously should consider applying for PR there.

My brothers and my dad also really wanted us to wear matching tees together because we looked like we're little kids again with matching attires. Clearly, my dad misses those times when we were younger and not as irritating as we are now.

Syafiq also finally turned 20. He's 20 now omg. Time is flying way toooooooo fast. My loved ones growing older, I'm finding it hard to keep up.

Fuad also turned 21, and I couldn't be there for his surprise because of Rain's concert. So all I gave him was a bouquet of flowers. Really felt bad for not being there for his birthday, I'll somehow find a way to make it up to him.

Right now, we are finally in 2017!

I'm still trying to get it all to me. I still feel like it's only 2012? Everything is going by way too fast. But one thing I hope is that 2017 will hopefully be a great year for me and my loved ones to show our full potential to the world. To be successful, to be happy and to continue to strive to be the best people for heaven.

I didn't do much on this year's NYE. I was just chilling at Daya's place till a little over midnight and then headed home. Nothing special, really.

I did make the day itself special.

I wanted to go to Christmas Wonderland so badly. I mean, everyone's doing it with their partners. I wanted to do it too, but well... umm I'm single. Sometimes I hate the fact that I'm single, because all the cool things to do, you gotta do it with a boyfriend. Most of the time, I'm happy being single.

I'm glad that my other two single ladies decided to go to CW with me. I had a good time to spend the first day of the year with them.

Just laughing around, being all goofy and crazy while playing bumper cars... Oh did I tell you that I got free tokens?! 💅🏼  Azreena and I were just laughing around when a group of young teenage boys gave us free tokens (and then tried asking our numbers which of course, we didn't give because hello, you guys are like tooooooo young for us ya) so we decided to buy a little bit more tokens to play the bumper rides.

Totally worth it, because we now know how bad our driving skills are. Even Zarifah who has a driving license is soooooo bad at it. We also bought butterscotch beer, which is non-alcoholic don't worry I won't let my hijabi friend drinks alcohol. But she was so high after that, I really hoped there wasn't any alcohol in that drink.

We ran for the snow, and it's totally worth it with these girls.

May 2017 be a year filled with lots of positivity, and I meet more of my favourite people, become crazily famous and rich and successful, and eventually start dating my favourite boy.
