Upgrade.

Last weekend right after I touched down from Bandung, I had a meeting with the MAEC peeps all the way in Changi Village Hotel. No joke but Changi isn't my favourite place as of now. It's so ulu dammit.

Despite all that, I had a great time with the mentors. I can't believe it's gonna be 4 great years with the mentors soon. I didn't expect myself to form new closer friendships with the people in MAEC. Especially now that I'm no longer close to the person who brought me into MAEC.

Up till today, I'm actually quite surprised how far my friendship with Daya has come. We definitely has come a long way. Are we different? Not really. Have we grown over the years? I'm not sure about her, but getting to know her has made me experienced a lot of things I didn't foresee myself to experience.

This is a good example.

I am now officially closer to my boy.
Am I gonna upgrade from a fan to a lover?
Stay tuned. 😂

End of Year Trip 2015 - Bandung

This year has been anything but magical. Sure, many challenges come with it but I thank Allah SWT for every wonderful moment that comes after.

I just got back from Bandung and this trip came at the right time because I really needed the break.

I still owe a post on my Korea trip but that can wait. I mean everyone's going to Korea now. So if i miss Korea, I can either watch some dramas or just scroll my Instagram timeline.

I skipped school for a week just for this trip.

Took Air Asia this time round. The flight was slightly delayed because it was raining. My whole journey was just... emotional. There was a couple beside me and they couldn't stop being all mushy and clingy. And then there was me who's listening to Zion T's Yanghwa Bridge. On my right, there was that overly attached couple. And on my left, my dad who's snoring away despite the 1 hour 45 mins flight.

We stayed at Chara Hotel.

The hotel is pretty new so in terms of cleanliness, I'll give it a thumbs up. One thing I like about this hotel is that they provide new towels for us every single day. They would change the towels when they're making up the room. Not all hotels do that. Some 5 star hotels don't even do that.

My dad booked this hotel because of the whole container architecture. The architecture isn't that much wow honestly. But my dad and brothers were crazy about it. Must be a male kinda thing, definitely. Sheesh.

I ordered in-room dining during my short 5 days 4 nights there. No idea why my appetite was really huge there. The chocolate milkshake was good. The food was meh. Even for breakfast, kinda disappointed. They really should improve on that.

I went to the spa at the hotel. Took the most expensive package there because when else can I feel like a rich woman HAHA love the massage and the ear candling! The bath was a lil disappointing because the water heater just had to spoil when it was my turn to take a long warm bath.

There are too many places that I went in Bandung but I just didn't bother to take a lot of photos because... I'm not in my best shape right now so I'm not in the mood for photos lately.

Here are some of the places I went to when I was in Bandung.

Kedai Belacan

The moment I stepped into this restaurant, I fell in love with the greenery in the restaurant. The food here was a lil pricey. We ordered a lot so it's pretty understanding. The must-try here, I must say, is the Gurame Goreng Terbang. I am not a fish person. I am more of a chicken person. But after tasting the Gurame Goreng Terbang, my dad had to buy two fishes to feed all 7 of us. Mind you, the fishes were pretty big.

But, this restaurant had a cat. So minus a million points for that. The cat just had to come to me out of all the visitors there. Like why?! To all the cats in the world, and all you cats who know how to use the internet and probably reading this, please don't get near me if you see me. I know you guys are fans of yours truly but I'm scared of you guys. So please bear with me.

The Stone Cafe

I ordered steak and honestly it wasn't that great. But I tasted my parents' and my grandmother's food (they had some of their local food) and they tasted great! Kinda regret. I became a big fan of Sundanese food (more of just their soups) after this trip. Sup Iga for the win!

But the view and the atmosphere made up for it. I actually forced Syakir to help me take Instagram-worthy photos and that boy obviously has a lot to learn.

Best time to come is actually at night. There will be some band playing and Indo bands are no joke good but just underrated because the competition there is too damn high. Everyone seems so talented honestly.

Tangkuban Perahu

It was pretty cold up at the peak. Reminded me of Kyoto at night when Daya and I went out in our PJs in 5 degrees chilly night to get some food at their Family Mart.

Things you should bring if you're planning to come here are a mask and a cardigan

Actually I got annoyed by those people who "offered" us to help photos.

They are obviously just trying to take advantage of tourists but thank God I didn't succumb to them because their photography skills... I'm sorry but not insta-worthy. I mean if I'm paying you to take photos of me, it better be good HAHA not worse than me Daya knows how bad my photography skills are so let's keep it just there.

If you're up here, it's worth going for a super short ride with a pretty horse like this. This horse right here is called Mojang. What a name! The ride is only IDR 50 000. Cheap and hey the horse has pink hair... close enough to a unicorn!

As much as I love my trip to Bandung, of course there are some things that kinda turned me off while I was there.

So my family was lucky enough to have a driver by our side most of the time. This meant that most of the times we travelled by car which is actually ideal if you're travelling as a group like us. I wouldn't say the more the merrier because the traffic jam in Indonesia is no joke

Your journey can be approximately about 20 minutes but because of the jam, it can be as long as 1 hour. Trust me, I'm not someone who can stay still in a confined area. At most, I'll sleep. Travelling by bus can be a hassle if you're planning to go on some roads or places. To get away from the jam, it's ideal to travel via the alleys and of course, buses are not able to get on those roads. And if you're planning to go to Pasar Baru (a shopping paradise for aunties honestly!) then it'll be hard to park even the 21 seater mini bus.

On another hand, thanks to traffic jam, I was able to get to know my driver and look around the streets of Bandung even better.

Ariel's House

My driver turned out to be Ariel's ex-driver before Ariel moved to Jakarta. So he actually drove passed his house just for me when I jokingly said I wanted to go to Ariel's house. In case you're wondering which Ariel I'm referring to, it's the Ariel from Peterpan or now known as Noah. I also found out that a lot of Indonesian celebrities are actually from Bandung.

Well, I've always known that Indonesia is filled with so many talented people. Sometimes you just have to stop and listen to those less fortunate street performers in Indonesia. They're hella talented. I wish I can do something so that their skills are being recognized and they can get out of their poverty situation. But here I am, I'm still trying to figure my life out.

Busiest Weekend of 2015

Finally the busiest weekend of my whole year is over. I can't even describe how tired I am right now. Trying to catch up with classes and I'm so glad that I've completed all the articles for the events I had attended.

I'm flying off to Bandung later and well, let's sneak in some time to update this blog.

I've yet to update on the Seoul part of my Summer Trip 2015. And now, I'm off to another trip. I'll try my best to document everything but really, the struggle is real.

The events I attended last weekend:
On top of these events, I had to attend Afifah's engagement.

My dear girl is officially chopped. I recalled back in secondary school, she was one of those friends who wanted to get married early and I guess it's about to happen. In less than 2 years' time, she's gonna be a wife.

Due to the busy weekend and well... let's just say we (as in Nab, Daya and I!) actually were hoping to bump into the Korean celebrities who were in town. But guess we were just fated to see them at the events we were busy working with. So anyway, we booked a hotel room at Pan Pacific Singapore for the weekend!

Pretty crazy, I must honestly say!

My schedule for the weekends was basically like:
Friday: Tuition >> Dinner >> BTOB 'I Mean Fan Meeting in Singapore 2015
Saturday: Day6 Fan Meeting in Singapore 2015 >> Classical Vocal Performance by the UAngel Voice Choir and the Lee Young Hee Hanbok Fashion Show
Sunday: Check-in Hotel >> Afifah's Engagement
Monday: Influence Asia 2015

Friday
I had tuition early in the morning and well, pretty glad my tutees are now improving bit by bit. Really hope they will improve even more!

I tried to sneak in some time for lunch/dinner with my girl Azreena before heading to MBS. Really glad I did that because boy, the food and drinks prices at MBS are a little over the top. $3.60 for a cup of ice chocolate which turned out to be ice milo?! I still am was crazily disappointed.

Note: All my KPOP media pictures that I took using a professional camera has to be watermarked for many reasons. They're not edited in any way. Because I'm lazy to edit each and every one of them. Please don't steal any of them.

The article for this event is up on OfficiallyKMusic. You guys can check it out here. The photos are edited and you can find out more on what happened during the event.

All I can say is that BTOB's fans are one of the nicest group of people I've ever met. Friendly among themselves and everyone was just so obedient during the concert. In fact, the boys themselves are very nice. They are also very generous with fan service.

For this event, I went with Kat as a photographer. Honestly, I'm not a good photographer. It's obvious isn't it?

We were lucky enough that night to get front row view of the boys and Kat even got called up by the emcee because we were actually sitting at the wrong seats HAHA but of course, my nice unnie gave up the chance to get close with the BTOB boys for the fan that deserved it. The fan actually cried. All I can say is that... I hope my unnie made your night!

Kat couldn't stop complaining about how she was in shorts and looking like a damsel in distress but honestly she ain't that bad looking. She has yet to see the ugly side of me.

Whatever it is, she got the chance to shake hands and have short conversations with each and every one of the boys. Jealous, anyone? My unnie doing it right.

On the other hand, for me that night, one of the members of BTOB threw a rose at me. Actually twice at me. But I gave one at a fan who was sitting behind. They deserve it more than I do :')

When else will someone give me a rose rightttttt so I got to cease every opportunity!

Definitely a great night, that very night!

Spot us!
Yes we got to hi-touch and a group photo session with the boys.

Saturday
I was in charge of the article for Day6 Fan Meeting in Singapore. So the photos are all with Daya. Anticipate the article and the photos on OfficiallyKMusic, alright?

Tteokbokki.
Ate this after watching Day6 because I was really hungry.
Made me miss Korea more than ever.

Right after that, we had to attend a fashion show and I had to watch a K-Classic performance too. I'm actually on the same level as GD, guys. I was sitting at the front row of the fashion runway. Most VIPs sit on the same row. I'm on my way to the high life HAHA 😂

With one of the singers of UAngel Voice Choir!

So after the show, I bumped into this particular woman from the Korean Embassy. She actually remembers me from the Kang Haneul event that I had attended previously. The other time she really wanted to know more about me, but I didn't have my name card yet. So this time round, I gave one to her and damn, that 'adult' feeling is getting to me!

Sunday
Sunday, hands down! THE BUSIEST DAY OF THE WHOLE BUSY WEEKEND.

I went out as early as 9 in the morning to settle our check-in since it was under our name. Thank god I booked the Pacific Club room. Because I was treated like a princess.

Yes I travelled all the way to City Hall in my baju raya because I had to attend Afifah's engagement event after that.

Luckily no one really judged me. Maybe some did, I was just not bothered by their stares.

Sneaked in some time for morning cartoons with Daya.

So as for Afifah's engagement, I thought I was almost late. So I took a cab because firstly, it's hot and I was really later than all the other girls who came punctually. I didn't wanna miss every single moment of her engagement so I cabbed. But when I came, the guy's side was not even there yet. In fact, they came about an hour after I arrived. What luck!

Afifah and I.
Can't believe we're slowly facing reality.

Right after her engagement, I had to make my way to the hotel.

Came back to the hotel to this.
Thank you Pan Pacific Singapore!

Chatted with my KMedia girls. It's really nice how close we are.

OfficiallyKMusic Singapore team is pretty new and small. And yes, I know of a few people who texted personally asking me how did I get into this team. Honestly it's all fate and luck. We will slowly expand to more people but as of now, we are trying to keep it small to work more efficiently.

Some organizers have yet to hear of OfficiallyKMusic. Well we are pretty new in Singapore but we're pretty known in other countries. For the Singapore team, we will try our very best to understand your situation as much as you understand us.

So after sending Kat off home, sigh my unnie should have just slept over that night  we were almost chased out by the hotel staff for hanging around the lobby waiting for celebrities to appear. But too bad for them, I just had to pull out the "I'm sorry I'm a guest here" while showing off my Pacific Club room card! #richlife

Joe Flizzow and I.

I've always wanted to go up to him and ask "Apa Khabar?" because of his song with Sonaone. But on that very night, I just forgot to do that! Because I was just too nervous. I was actually sad that night coz I was hoping Sona was with him so I could get a picture with Sona. But he was alone. I kept telling myself and probably ranting too much to Daya and Nab, "Joe is enough! Joe is enough! But I still want Sonaaaaaa or Jay!"

The next day, during the red carpet, he actually looked confused seeing me being part of the media HAHA but he was nice to pose for Nab's camera during his performance and he even waved at me like waving to a friend during the red carpet!

Sheikh Haikel and I.

After taking photos with him, I went like, "So are you gonna be at the event?"And he replied, "I'm going to be the emcee! Who are you gonna watch?" I just went... "Sona and Jay!" He said he would say hi to them for me. Let's hope it did happen.

Before Influence Asia 2015 started, I saw a cute round boy with red cheeks and curly hair sitting all alone. So I went to the kid and asked him what was he doing all alone. He said he was waiting for his sisters. Then I asked him where are his parents. He pointed to the front so I asked which one. Then he replied "My dad is Sheikh Haikel." How cute! And he remembered me even after the event! What a cute boy!

On that very night, we got to know a SONE's mum. She approached us with, "Are you guys fans of a KPOP girl group?" And we just replied yes since we were all honestly there because Nab was waiting for Tiffany. Turned out she was helping her daughter stalked TaeTiSeo from the airport all the way to the hotel. She even sneakily took photos of TaeTiSeo's luggages and got to know of the girls' hotel room number from the staffs. I couldn't help but just laugh!

She was so amazed by how we are working for media. She made us felt good. But honestly, it ain't all about the fun. I just try my very best to work around the fun.

Oh, and Daya cheekily took a photo with Jianhao Tan and went "I saw you on Tinder the other day!" HAHA that girl is just so brave please! Pretty sure Jianhao remembers her for life now.

I was also on Tinder all because of her. If you ever get cheesy messages from me on Tinder or even by texts, just know it's not me. It's all her. The day she found Jianhao on Tinder she actually called me up to ask about his relationship with Naomi. Because she assumes I know all the juicy news online. And the next few months we found out that they really broke up. Can't help but to just... laugh among ourselves! It's like we discovered about it long before everyone and it's through... a dating app? Is that how guys are after a break up, I wonder...

Anyway, Jianhao actually replied Daya that he's no longer on that app.

This all happened from about 2 till 4 in the morning.

Barely had sleep that night!

Monday
I was up at 7 in the morning only to find out that Jay was already in Singapore and was having breakfast downstairs.

The view was just magnificient.
I fell in love with Singapore all over again.

I didn't manage to catch Jay for breakfast but while I was about to sit for breakfast, I saw Utt and he smiled. I casually said "Hi!" and he replied like we have known for very long. Guess we can be friends, Utt? Since you're as old as my parents.

The article for Influence Asia 2015 is up. You can read it here.

Daya's favourite, Ucop.
Sadly, he has a girlfriend.
Damn, why are all the attractive guys usually taken?

My boy Sona.
Looking hella good.
And gosh, isn't he just so cute?

Raisa is like a living goddess.
Her voice is just... WOW.
And just look at her.
So beautiful.
Can I be you, Raisa?

Baby Yebin.
Not a really fan of her.
But she's adorable.

My boy Jay.
He clearly smiled at me that very day.
With his smirk all.
So cheeky!
But love you Jay!

Redfoo and his crew.
He's just crazy!
He can have fun all by himself.
His energy... REALLY ON ANOTHER LEVEL!

Nab's favourite, SNSD's Tiffany.
She is just so gorgeous.
Her hair was really on point that day!
Can you teach me to be you, Tiffany?

So after the red carpet, they brought us to an area where the celebrities gathered for lunch. I kinda left Nab all by herself because duh I'm a YOLO queen.

Nab took a photo of me talking to Tosh.
I handed him my name card :')

Puspita and I.
Had no idea who she was but I took a photo with her coz her outfit on point!
Her ring got on my bag and we just laughed to it.
BFF enough? 😂

After lunch, we all had to get ready for the awards show. It was a little chaotic at first. But as usual, Nab and I got it all sorted out. We just work great together.

Keenan Pearce.

Right after breakfast, Nab wanted to smoke so we went to the smoking corner. But that smart girl forgot her lighter so she asked a lighter from a guy in suit. He went like, "Were you guys at the pre-party yesterday?" He was wearing an All-Access Pass for Influence Asia 2015. We answered no. Had a casual talk with him. He told us that Jay and TaeTiSeo actually came down for a private for YDM Global Festival. I'm lucky to have given him my name card because we discovered that he was someone big in YDM when he went up on stage to give a speech. So please contact me when you have another event.

So while we were talking to the guy which I forgot his name... I saw Keenan Pearce. Didn't know who he was at first. Only to find out he is someone known. He couldn't stop taking selfies of himself the whole time I was talking to the YDM dude. My first impression just went like... "Damn this guy is good looking and he definitely knows it!"

New Year.
Gorgeous looking Thai boy.
His make up was even more on point than mine that day!
Gotta learn some make up skills from him!

Dandee.
A super talented rapper from Thailand.
The crowd was not so turnt up, sadly!
But I had a great time watching him perform!

The CEO of YDM, on the right!
A really cute Korean man.
Can't speak English well, but he tried :')

My boy Sona doing his thing!
He touched my hand before leaving the stage.
Made my whole day honestly!

Jay was looking at my direction the whole time!
He was clearly flirting with me, I'm sure!

Wak Doyok and Jay.
Honestly, I like Wak Doyok for his personality.
So funny on #KeKoreaKeKita 😂
He was the only one proudly speaking his native language aka Malay for his speech.

Redfoo just couldn't make me stop laughing that evening!
He couldn't keep his hands to himself.
Had to touch the girls who were giving the awards.
Definitely a flirty guy!
Now I know why your songs are mostly about being horny HAHA

Like any other girls, Tiffany experience blisters too!
Guess she's a human.
But on the more perfect side.

Bie The Ska got the crowd screaming because he initiated a hug with Tiffany.
Tiffany actually accepted that hug!
But as you can see, she looked shocked HAHA

Redfoo gave a surprise closing ceremony.
Definitely felt like I was in a club!

Bie The Ska and I.

Had to get a hug from him because he hugged Tiffany and Redfoo. I actually made a snapchat video with him. He's really funny and friendly. Didn't feel the celebrity vibes from him at all! So down to earth!

New Year, Both and I.
They said they love Singapore so they'll be back soon.
They're just so good looking in real life.

Dandee and I.

He was really nice in person. Even did that Thai bow to me. I was shocked honestly HAHA he even said sorry because there were technical difficulties during his performance. But I told him how good his performance was and I became a fan. I really did because now, I've been listening to his songs! Check him out if you haven't guys! He's a really great performer. I told him to come back to Singapore soon. Because that's how much I like him as a performer.

My boy Sona and I.

This whole picture just made my whole year honestly. You guys have no idea how much of a fan I am... More like a crazy obsessed fangirl but let's keep it cool. He was really friendly. I was surprised when he asked me about his performance and he asked in Malay. I was expecting him to be all English but this Malaysian boy is really proud of the Malay language and I saw how friendly he was with the hotel staff. Can I just marry you already? You're Muslim so easy for us. And my friends all agree that I finally found a good taste in liking you coz you're good looking.

Lucky Nab got the chance to go for the YDM Global festival. As much as I'm kinda sad I didn't get to watch Jay performed, I guess it's okay. I'm sure I can catch him perform soon.

Some photos she took for me to make me feel like I went for the YDM Global Festival.

This whole post pretty much sums up my whole busy weekend. Busy ain't it? But I love being busy, for as long as I'm doing it with people I love.

Wrote my wish on the balls again this year.
A year of happiness and wealth for 2016.
