hottest security guard ever

I've reached the point where I'm missing proper local food, especially the home-cooked Malay dishes. I definitely got to rethink a million times if I ever decide to migrate from Singapore for good. Too many things I have taken for granted while living in Singapore.

Azreena and I were craving for real Malay food so badly on Wednesday. All those instant rempahs I brought from home were not good enough to make us feel at home. They're either way too salty or sweet for our liking.

So we both decided to drop by Myeongdong to have some proper Malay food at Kampungku.

If you expect real good Malay food, then I'm sorry but you'll be disappointed. The Nasi Lemak and Tomyam soup cost about SGD12 each and the satay costs about SGD8 for 7 sticks. MOST EXPENSIVE NASI LEMAK AND SATAY WE HAVE EVER BOUGHT IN OUR LIVES.

But at least we feel a little at home after eating. The taste definitely needs to improve. The soup was a little bland, the satay's sauce tasted like sambal tumis mixed with peanut sauce.

For the price we're paying for, I think if I were to migrate to Seoul, I can only eat Malay food every 3 months once. Eating out is definitely a luxury.

Korea ain't cheap at all.

If you don't already know, I got myself injured here. I thought it was just a minor sprained ankle at first.

I really didn't wanna get myself to the hospital here. But things happened and I ended up spending time at the hospital with a guy that I didn't bother to ask his name. We talked for hours.... and we talked a lot. I mean I was stuck with him, he was the only one who could understand me well. But me being me, as usual, didn't bother to ask for his name.

I didn't wanna get my ankle casted but the doctors here insisted that I do so. I mean, just look. THE SHOE THEY GAVE ME IS IN GREEN. It doesn't match most of my outfits, like HELLO?! It was nice for the guy who was stuck with me to actually ask the doctor for a different colour but because of my small feet, I still had to wear this green ugly thingy.

The bill really shocked the shit outta me. DO NOT EVER GET SICK HERE GUYS. SO DAMN EXPENSIVE. And the worst thing to happen? My card got rejected. So that guy paid for me.

I swear, the only reason why girls all over the world are going crazy over korean guys is because they're really nice. Guys from other parts of the world, y'all got a lot of catching up to do.

Despite being injured, the stubborn me still had a lot of fun over the weekends.

I went to catch a baseball match with Lewis and his friends. Nope, I didn't go with just him like what many thought. It's amazing how close the friendships I've forged so far while I'm here. I'm definitely gonna miss them a looooooooot.

These were people who got chosen during the Kiss Time interval. I'm definitely gonna come back here with the love of my life and get myself on that screen and kiss him during Kiss Time 😂

I really gotta thank him for explaining the game to me, and actually just being nice because my ankle was hurting and he made sure he didn't leave me alone the whole time. He probably could imagine how things will be if he ever leaves me alone. I'm so accident-prone ugh

Last Friday, Azreena and I went to Boryeong Mud Festival. We are so tanned right now. I haven't been this tanned for the longest time ever.

The event is much smaller than I thought it was. But I still had fun.... and omg let me just tell you. The security guards in Korea are sooooooo good looking.

Just look at this perfection.

In Singapore, security guards are usually pakciks. Old uncles with their tummies sticking out. But here, omg HERE. The security guards are so hot?!?! Just how in the world ugh

And this is my biggest takeaway from the festival.

I was really close to C Jamm, and I got too starstrucked that I didn't even ask for a photo with him. I'm a whole different person now like can you guys believe it?!?!

Actually I'm still the same.

I still take photos with posters 😂
So hard being me, I mean... how do you choose between these 2 guys?

I also finally made it to Common Ground. It's boring, way too overrated. Really... meh. Everything that's being sold there is overpriced.

Go if you only wanna get nice photos for your Instagram.

If there's anything that close to the food back home, it's the indian food here. You can never go wrong with indian food. They can really make me feel like I'm back in Singapore whenever I eat some briyani or naan.

dean on me

I haven't been out much when I know I should really make the most out of my time here. I'm just feeling tired and lazy a little bit. I'll go out more. Don't worry!

Azreena and I went to Bukchon Hanok Village yesterday.

Before arriving at Anguk Station, we had to pass by this station and I'm sorry Korea, but this station's name got us laughing like crazy. I pronounced it like a Malay word, and I swear we both laughed way too loud till the whole cabin looked at us.

Being at that place just reminds me of the drama Personal Taste. I really enjoyed that drama. I swear I'm getting the urge to watch it again even though I have so many other dramas to catch up on.

The "oppa" smell that Weed is obsessed about

I stopped by Granstand because the place just looks so nice from outside.

Weed kept talking about this "oppa" smell that she's been searching for and the closest one was from Lush. Honestly I don't like the smell at all. I don't get why she's so obsessed with this smell tho. It's like a very.... pungent smell. Why would I want that smell on my man? But oh well what's new. I'm weird. So my friends are weird too.

ESTER DEAN

Azreena and I did buy a perfume each tho. And we bought the exact same one! We're both obsessed with the smell now. And yes, Ester Dean is the name of the perfume because you know... I need some Dean on me. 😏  #kidding

We stopped by a cafe. It's actually someone's house but she turned it into a cafe.

Overpriced shit. 5000₩ for each drink which tasted normal. Really really disappointed but it's all good.

Azreena and I took so many videos and photos just to make our money worth. We're just 2 broke girls in Korea right now. Not even kidding about this. Really need to find a rich oppa ASAP.

And I just can't describe this happy feeling to be back here in this country. Though a lot heavier and so much chubbier. I'm trying to really work out more right now. Really need to look good ASAP. I hate being above this 50kg mark ugh

Right after we were done walking around Bukchon Hanok Village, Azreena and I went to Insadong.

Sadly it was so crowded when we went there. Bad move to go on a weekend. Should have gone on a weekday.

Another reason why I love being around this area is....

They have really nice hanboks ugh can we all take a step back and start wearing our traditional costumes? I've been really into traditional costumes lately. Like I can't stop admiring them. Like a new addiction.

Oh, and two years ago... I came to Insadong to get the famous Kkultarae. So two years ago, one of the guys who were selling and promoting that dessert actually suap me. So I went to the exact same shop to find him.

Well, I guess he changed. We both changed and well... I'm not the only one who puts on a bit of weight.

still the same, in kg

I can safely say that my birthday celebration for this year is so chill but I'm enjoying every second of it. I just can't thank Allah SWT enough for every single moment I'm going through.

So my friends and I went on a cruise yesterday and the view is so amazing.

I know, I know. It doesn't look THAT amazing on photos. Photography is just not my thing. Sorry.

Azreena and I enjoyed the breeze way too much. She actually fell sick today and I'm really hoping that she'll be fine tomorrow. She's not eating much and well, she's losing weight when I'm the one who's supposed to lose all the weight.

I saw this while on the way to Cafe Dudart on Tuesday. Really motivated me to work out. I actually just got back from the gym and I weighed myself just now. Reality hits, I didn't lose any weight. Still the same ugh

It was great to just chill at Cafe Dudart for hours. Best thing to happen at the cafe is getting a free Iced Americano from the barista. And not just any barista, a good-looking one. I swear, the requirement for you to work with Jay Park is that you gotta have the looks. You got the looks, you can work with me.

One important thing I have noticed while being in Korea for almost 2 weeks now is the importance of looking on point all the time. People here don't even wear flip flops around. I've not seen any koreans in flip flops. So far the ones I see in flip flops are Singaporeans. It's soooooo easy to spot Singaporeans. Just listen to the way we talk and you know we're Singaporeans.

Everyone here puts in the effort to look good. Or am I just blinded? I don't know...

I mean, just look at the guy up here. He's so cute, totally my type. Reminds me of LeBron James. Azreena and I couldn't stop admiring him when we went to The Halal Guys again last Monday.

God has been great on me, alhamdulillah. 💓
