Growing Up Sucks?

Aren't we growing up a little too fast?
Where did all the time go... I'm turning 22 soon.
It's pretty crazy, but really... did my teenage years go by that fast?
Wait, I graduated from college 4 years ago. Are you kidding me?!

Am I happy now? Yes, and no.

Rojak, my current obsession

Dad: Do you want me to buy you dinner? I'm going to West Coast.
Me: Yes, get me rojak mama... lots and lots of fishcake and sausages. No tempeh or tauhu.

Thank God he bought Indian rojak for me last night, and today I'm craving for Indian rojak again.

Well maybe it's because my brothers took some of my share, like seriously eat your own food guys... I'm a big eater now. I don't need you guys to help me with finishing my food now.

Like seasons, my favourite food changes over time. Right now, I'm going crazy over rojak. Specifically, Indian rojak aka rojak mama. I've been eating them for days, more like weeks, and I just can't get enough of them.

My previous food obsessions were pretty crazy. I remember trying KFC A.M. porridge and bought them for over a few months every single day because I was so in love with it. And then I was so in love with daging masak kicap. I told Nenek to cook it for me every single day. She nagged at me but still cooked those beef for me. Yumz, and thank you Nenek. Daya and I also had this craze over satay. Again, I ate them for months every single day.

Too many food craze and here I am wondering why I'm putting on weight. Someone needs to slap the reality out of me.

But Mum and Dad always tell me that this crazy obsession habit I have is hereditary, because my late paternal grandfather was just like this. It's crazy because not only my eating habit is similar to his, but the way I sleep... just like him. I do miss him, though I didn't get to spend much time being his granddaughter. I'm thankful Allah SWT gave me the chance to spend some time with my grandparents. Because all the memories I have of them... they're sweet. Too sweet to be forgotten just like that.

I hope my future children will be able to spend time with their grandparents, better if they get the chance to spend time with their great grandparents too.

I pray my kids get the talents of two of my favourite K-Pop idols.

Guess who? It ain't that hard.

Tea or Me?

It's pretty late and well... I have an event later but I shall squeeze some time to blog since this laptop is already on.

My friends are fans of tea. They love tea very much, so we all decided to have a good catch-up session over some tea so we can feel a lil posh than usual. I just decided to go with the idea.

I had tuition just now and right after that, I rushed home and had a pretty long nap because I was feeling really tired. Luckily I woke up at 5:30PM just in time to get ready to meet them since Syahirah and Daya just finished their work. Pretty lucky for me, I must say.

But NO. Today just had to be the day I forgot to bring my wallet and power bank out. I was all happy because I thought, "Hey maybe finally I'm not the one who is late for this meeting!" but I guess... I should just really work on my tardiness. Still thankful that Daya became kinda like my sugarmummy for the day HAHA

Haris and Daya

The picture is a lil blur but this is the only picture with them that I have. Oh and I forgot to take a photo with Syahirah. Basically, the four of us forgot to take a group photo. We were too busy talking and laughing. It's pretty amazing that they're all Daya's secondary school friends but now, they're my friends too and we're pretty close up till now right after the short time we spent after Big Bang's MADE concert last year.

I'm seriously thankful for Downtown Line, now I take such a short time to get to town. I just wish the bus stop for 979 is directly at the Bukit Panjang Downtown Line station instead of the Bukit Panjang LRT station. I mean, seriously why make us walk? Or they should really have a direct bus from Yew Tee to Bukit Panjang Downtown Line station, like a shuttle bus kinda thing.

It was a great catch-up session. The teas were good, the desserts were sweeeeeeeet. Syahirah, Daya and I are having sugar rush now, late at night. That's why I'm up blogging.

Syahirah's in a new company handling properties, and really I hope to earn enough in future and invest in property. If you're looking for any property investments, good news because my buddy Syahirah can help you. I mean serious talk, we both agreed on the same overseas locations for property investments because of similar reasons and really, if we both have enough money, we will invest in property because that's how you earn $$$.

Haris, on the other hand, just quitted his nursing job and well, he just had his interview to be a paramedic. As of now, he's doing private nursing. If you're looking for a personal nurse for your daily care, maybe he'll work with you. I'm not sure. That boy is pretty full of surprises.

My dinner for the night, basically.

*SNSD Tiffany in Bangkok for a Dior event*
Nab: Tiffany is having tea at TWG in Bangkok today.
Me: Well we're having tea with her. Just that I'm late as usual.

It'll be nice to get a Dior bag on 12th of July. *hint*

This is me attempting to make it look like I'm lying on Woobin's lap.

This photo reminded me of the photo I took right after watching Deadpool. I watched it with D. He's now like my movie buddy. And smart me had to choose the couple seat and that dude just laughed and told me "It's ok I know you're dumb enough to not know that this is a couple seat but since you're a girl, it's good to be a little dumb sometimes. Guys don't really like too smart girls." Not sure if I should laugh or cry at his comment.

Deadpool was not up to my expectations. My ultimate favourites from Marvel are still the Ironman series. Maybe it's just the witty character that Ironman portrayed in the movies that got me hooked on to him. But Ryan Reynolds is still sexy. Just that this movie is a little too much on the sexual part which I'm getting tired of whenever I watch Western shows now.

On another note...

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?

Anything for food?

I haven't been meeting Nab as often as before. She's been busy working for her family's business and traveling around with her friends and family. It's all been catching up through text messages on Kakao and reading each other tweets or watching each other's snaps on Snapchat. Since she's living in Pioneer now, it's been really hard trying to meet each other. Come back to CCK already.

Yesterday we finally met after what seems like ages (honestly I'm exaggerating, but yeah I'm pretty clingy you see!) and we decided to have lunch at NTU. I heard from a friend that there's authentic Korean food there, and Daya told me to try it too.

We went all the way to the very ulu part of Singapore for the samgyetang but the ahjumma just had to go "Sorry, finished!" when we ordered for it and still smiling after that. Can you hear our heart break into pieces? Because we're really missing Korea and the delicious food there.

The food isn't as authentic as I thought it would be. But better than nothing. The portion though, pretty satisfying.

Getting to the Quad wasn't as easy as I thought it would be. I remember going to NTU back then but really, that was years ago. So when Nab and I got lost, I told her "Hey, maybe we should ask someone!" and a guy was walking slowly towards our direction. So I gathered all the courage and went up to him.

Me: Hey, do you know where is this place called the Quad?
Him: *holding up his hand* Sorry I'm busy. *runs away*

Like seriously dude, you didn't look like you were busy few minutes ago. Sheesh. Nab just had to laugh at me and tweeted about it. I felt rejected boohoo.

Right after that, Nab and I decided to chill at Archipelago Creamery.

We talked for hours there, and really our plans for opening our own cafe sounded pretty great. You know how cafes these days are all overpriced but the food is just... meh? Yeah we hate that. And I am, for sure a pretty fussy eater.

We both also agreed on the fact that cafes these days are winning just because of the ambience. So yes, once we sort and plan things out properly, our cool ass cafe dream will happen. Well, hopefully.

To a much more successful future together.

Love, S.

Sunday 14 February 2016

Just like any other day...

14 February, the day people show their love to their loved ones.

Well, as for me, I'm single. Honestly it is just like any other day to me... It has always been. Because seriously, if you think showing your love has got to wait until on a special day, you need some love help.

Most of my friends have been bugging me to get to know guys. And really, I tried. Not like hunt for them. But you know, if they come, I try to at least make an effort to try to get to know them. Unlike before, I'll just push them right away before anything even happens.

I don't know... sometimes I just find guys really annoying. Like they're all cool as friends. But when they're at that grey area, I just find them annoying. I can't say for sure, that I'm straight. Because I haven't had sex with both sexes to determine which one I favour more. And no, I don't plan to do it with the same sex because that's just against my belief.

So really, I'm not asking much. Just prove to me that you're worth my time. I may push you away so many times, but if you really think we both are worthy of each other, then keep on proving to me you're worth my time.

Because I am tired of people who make me feel special for a moment and poof, did you end up in Bermuda Triangle?

Still, to all those in love and feeling happy, I am happy for you. I'm sure I'll find mine soon. Probably at a concert, while he's performing and I'm watching.

Should I list down all those guys in my to-date list? LOL

Downtown Line, the new in thing

I am so glad there's no school for this whole week but the week is passing by way too fast. The CNY holidays zoomed just like that. Can you believe it? I haven't done much studying, kinda doomed but let's pray I can finish my revision before prelims (I'm about to perform a miracle, please pray for me) and prelims is in less than 2 weeks' time.

Yesterday was the most unproductive day of the week. But I had a great time with Putri and Mira. We talked for a good 2 hours. Something I haven't been doing with them for quite some time...

Putri and I decided to bake a cake for Mira since it was her 22nd birthday on the 8th Feb and I was not in Singapore on her birthday. A belated celebration, it is.

We have been doing this yearly bake-a-cake kinda thing and trust me, this year was the best we had ever done. The past few years were crazy. The cakes either turned out ugly (if you think this year's cake is ugly, trust me this is the best looking one so far!) or the cake was too sweet you can really die of diabetes once you eat all of it.

You can say, our baking skills got better with time.

It was not easy to bake this, judging from our really amateur baking skills. Luckily for us, Putri's mum was there to help. And this cake looked really ugly at first. Putri's brothers and her dad saw us trying to save this cake and they actually went like, "This is not a cake, it's a burger."

You see, we were trying to do the whole layering with frosting kinda cake. But it turned out... more like a sandwich-fail burger cake. But thank god our cream cheese frosting turned out da bomb. We didn't follow closely the recipe that we found on Internet, but hey our cream cheese frosting can definitely beat those you eat at cafes (confidence level: a million up, real quick) and we made just enough frosting to cover the whole cake thank god.

The three of us talked across so many topics. One topic I really loved is... the fact that now there's Downtown Line.

Before the CNY holidays, Daya and I went for a short jogging session. We initially wanted to just go to the canal but we ended up going for an impromptu long brisk walking session at our favourite place in Singapore.

The lovely skyline and the whole nightlife while you're walking around and sweating it out... best feeling ever.

But the best part is that, it takes less than 30 minutes from Bukit Panjang to Bayfront. And then about another 20 minutes for me to walk all the way back home.

Downtown Line is definitely one of my favourite MRT lines as of now.

A day before the whole CNY holidays, I decided to help D with his shopping session for CNY. He kept talking about Japan, and sigh every part of me misses Japan more than ever. I wish to be there with him this July but I'm just not... that rich.

Oh and he kept saying that my type of men is old Chinese uncle style. It's annoying, but really if GD can pull off those looks, why can't I make guys dress up like that? Guys need to be more daring and experimental like GD.

But then again... I'm not that daring like CL. So I shall just keep my mouth shut.

And for that day, I went back via Downtown Line from Suntec. How convenient!

And here, this was how I spent my CNY holidays. Dad decided that we should go over to Batu Pahat during the CNY holidays because Singapore is usually a ghost town during CNY.

We watched From Vegas to Macau III and damn, it was the most nonsensical movie I've ever watched. But Chow Yun Fat is just hella attractive. Maybe what D said is true, I'm really into old Chinese uncles. Dammit!

But we all know, the one in my heart is still Taeyang.

Friday 5 February 2016

PROCRASTINATION AT ITS PEAK.

No matter how many times I tell myself to do it, I'll go... "ok let's do it 5 min later" and we all know that the 5 min later meant days and months later.

And today, it got to the point where I forgot to enrol myself into the revision classes and it has passed the deadline.

I AM IN DEEP SHIT.
