what a way to end my 2016, and to start my 2017

The past few weeks have been going so crazy. So many things to share, so many things I wanna blog about so that I can read back one day and reminisce all those good memories.

Few months ago, I posted about asking for permission from my parents about a trip with Daya. The trip happened, just not the two of us. But five.

Haris, Syahirah and Hamid decided to join us about a month before the trip. People thought they were people I got to know in KL. NOOOOOOO guys, they're my friends. We are REAL friends.

We girls took the bus from Singapore to KL first, and really... I couldn't believe how near KL is to Singapore. Maybe because I slept most of the time in the bus, but I do that most of the time whenever I travel. I just felt like the drive up to KL was so short as compared to when my dad drives up. 🤔

The moment we arrived in KL, we checked in at our hotel and went out to shop at Bukit Bintang.

I stayed at Berjaya Times Square for the whole trip. Honestly I love the location so much, like if I'm hungry, all I got to do is go down and get some food. But the service was pretty disappointing. Come on Berjaya, step up your game. The wifi sucks btw, thank God I bought data there which costs RM38.

The boys joined us for dinner later that night, and the next day we went for a hike at Bukit Tabur.

Everyone around me probably find it weird. I don't hike in Singapore, but I hiked in KL while on holiday?! I do work out, but hike is on another level.

When Daya and I planned the itinerary for this trip, we wanted to do more than just shopping and eating. One of the things we wanted to do was actually bathing with elephant. Well, we cancelled that off, probably saving it for some other time.

We found this activity on someone's blog and decided to give it a try.

I was so thankful that Haris offered to carry my bag for me during the hike. All I did was focus on the hike alone, the only baggage I'm carrying is... well, me.

Syahirah has this anxiety problem which made her feeling like she's always having stomachache and diarrhea. We even went back to the toilet at the petrol kiosk near the hiking area just for her. I was pretty worried at first. Luckily she was kinda fine all the way.

The hike started off pretty easy at first, but it got even more challenging as I went further up. But the crazy part was when we had to go back down. I really felt like a monkey that whole day. Grabbing on trees and swinging myself here and there... Thank God I came back down safe and in one piece.

I almost fell while taking a picture so Daya tried saving me, and this picture turned out SO wrong.

I'm just so glad that the three of us girls survived this hike.

Yup, my butt was so dirty by the end of the hike because I'm just so clumsy.
Totally worth it tho.
Also, I'm just so proud of myself. 😌

I couldn't have done it without our guide Amos and of course, Hamid and Haris. They were really a great help for 3 girls who clearly think they are the princesses of Singapore.

This trek is called Dragon Back Trek. If I can survive this, I'm sure anyone can do it. Plus it's a good workout while on a holiday.

We were done by 11 in the morning, so right after that, I went for dip in the pool. Totally a good way to get rid of all the body aches. I didn't ache so much after the hike, thanks to the pool. The water in the pool was CRAZILY cold, so cold I felt like I'm doing the ice bucket challenge.

The next day I went to District 21, all the way in Putrajaya.

Because they only allowed proper shoes in District 21 and I didn't really feel like wearing my muddy sport shoes, Daya and I bought cheap fake Adidas and Nike shoes for this. Not sure when else will I wear it now... I need to stop buying things on impulse.

I had a lot of fun at District 21, surprisingly... It's a place for kids so I'm not sure whether I still have yet to grow up or something else.

If you're expecting crazy adrenaline rush kinda games, I'm sorry to break it to you, you'll be disappointed. All the videos on YouTube about District 21 definitely overhyped the place. But I had fun, still. Because I make do with what I have HAHA

Right after going to District 21, I stopped by the Damansara area to eat Nora Danish's cafe.

The food there was actually quite good. I think the bad reviews people had been giving about the place were probably from her haters. Or jealous people who couldn't open up a cafe with pretty decent food.

Syahirah wanted to go to Hard Rock Cafe so badly, so we did that night.

I thought Hard Rock would be those kind of chill pubs, but no... I was wrong. It was crazy ROCK kinda pub. I mean, what can I expect from a pub called Hard Rock.

My entertainment for that night was definitely these two men right here.

If you follow me on Twitter, you would know what happened. Heck, I shall just share it here then.

So these two men were sitting opposite me for about an hour plus before I realized that there's something awkward between the two of them. They didn't utter a single word to each other for a good one hour. All they did was eat, drink and their eyes glued to their phones. They didn't even bop their heads to the music.

So I was wondering whether they were enemies and friends. I mean, you didn't talk to each other AT ALL. Not even looking into each other's eyes.

And then, the DJ started playing Titanium and Firework... all they did was fistbump each other. So I was like, "Maybe they're friends."

They then started talking again after 30 minutes or so, and then changed their seats. For a moment, I was shocked and scared.... like what if they realized that I had been staring at them for quite some time. (Maybe they actually did, but whatever.)

My friends then decided to change seats too, so here I am with a very "subtle" selfie with one of the guys.

They are soooooo tall. I have a feeling they're basketball players or something. The guy in cap looked similar to Usher btw.

Two girls who were speaking Malay to each other came to join them after that. Probably a double date, but the guy in cap kept using his phone and viewing other people's Snapchat. His friends really updated their Snapchat like crazy man. (yes, I was peeping at his phone.)

They changed seats again, and well I spotted them. Daya thought they went home...

When we were about to leave Hard Rock, the DJ was playing Get Lucky. All I can say is that, the four of them were probably about to get lucky that night!

The whole trip was amazing. The boys were really patient with us girls and I love how we girls were on this whole matching tees, matching sweatshirts, matching shorts and many more. It's like we're sisters, but we're not.

A day after I got back from KL, I went back to Batam after years of not going back there.

I felt really tired, like I'm suffering from jetlag. Seriously, how do people travel for work all the time? My body couldn't keep up with all the travelling...

I used to go to Batam a lot when I was younger because there was a period of time my Dad used to work there. So I spent my holidays there to spend time with him, but really we didn't do anything there when I was younger.

Now that we are older, my brothers and I appreciate shopping and grooming ourselves so we enjoyed our time back in Batam. You can say Indonesia is my second home. I'm going back to Indonesia so many countless times in my life, I seriously should consider applying for PR there.

My brothers and my dad also really wanted us to wear matching tees together because we looked like we're little kids again with matching attires. Clearly, my dad misses those times when we were younger and not as irritating as we are now.

Syafiq also finally turned 20. He's 20 now omg. Time is flying way toooooooo fast. My loved ones growing older, I'm finding it hard to keep up.

Fuad also turned 21, and I couldn't be there for his surprise because of Rain's concert. So all I gave him was a bouquet of flowers. Really felt bad for not being there for his birthday, I'll somehow find a way to make it up to him.

Right now, we are finally in 2017!

I'm still trying to get it all to me. I still feel like it's only 2012? Everything is going by way too fast. But one thing I hope is that 2017 will hopefully be a great year for me and my loved ones to show our full potential to the world. To be successful, to be happy and to continue to strive to be the best people for heaven.

I didn't do much on this year's NYE. I was just chilling at Daya's place till a little over midnight and then headed home. Nothing special, really.

I did make the day itself special.

I wanted to go to Christmas Wonderland so badly. I mean, everyone's doing it with their partners. I wanted to do it too, but well... umm I'm single. Sometimes I hate the fact that I'm single, because all the cool things to do, you gotta do it with a boyfriend. Most of the time, I'm happy being single.

I'm glad that my other two single ladies decided to go to CW with me. I had a good time to spend the first day of the year with them.

Just laughing around, being all goofy and crazy while playing bumper cars... Oh did I tell you that I got free tokens?! 💅🏼  Azreena and I were just laughing around when a group of young teenage boys gave us free tokens (and then tried asking our numbers which of course, we didn't give because hello, you guys are like tooooooo young for us ya) so we decided to buy a little bit more tokens to play the bumper rides.

Totally worth it, because we now know how bad our driving skills are. Even Zarifah who has a driving license is soooooo bad at it. We also bought butterscotch beer, which is non-alcoholic don't worry I won't let my hijabi friend drinks alcohol. But she was so high after that, I really hoped there wasn't any alcohol in that drink.

We ran for the snow, and it's totally worth it with these girls.

May 2017 be a year filled with lots of positivity, and I meet more of my favourite people, become crazily famous and rich and successful, and eventually start dating my favourite boy.

first collaboration with Far East Movement, i wish

There are so many things I wanna blog about so that one day I can read my posts and reminisce all the good memories.

I would take photos, lots of them... and hoping that I spare some time to actually blog about all of them. But in reality, I would forget about those photos in my camera roll.

When I finally find time to blog, I would end up blogging something else.

But today. I have got to blog about this.

Nab and I made it on Far East Movement's video.

This was when they came here for UMF the other time. The most tiring event I've ever done. NO JOKE. This is my first collaboration with Far Eat Movement. Continue supporting me! *flicks hair*

Kidding, I wish.

Oh well, that's me in awe of the super huge rubber ducky! It was really huge and heavy, no joke man. I mean, my idea of a rubber ducky has always been cute and light. But this one... huge, heavy and not so cute. Ruined my childhood view of a rubber ducky.

You can catch us here.
Only 0.02 seconds of my boo and I, better than nothing they say!

the first YG artist that I hugged

I just watched AKMU's concert and it was amazing.

They sounded really good live, especially Suhyun's voice. How can she sound so good? Seriously, can I have a throat surgery so that I can sing as well as her?

It's no surprise that YG signed them. They sang their own songs and their own renditions of other artists' songs. All sounded good. I'm glad that they sang my favourite songs too.

Now I have to think of ways to get my future kids to be signed under YG. Either get a husband who can sing, or sign them up for vocal and music lessons. Best, if I have a husband who can sing and supportive of me signing my kids up for all the classes I can think of.

That, aside.

If you're on my social media, you would know what happened hours before this.

Yes, I hugged Chanhyuk.
I hugged AKMU's Chanhyuk.

I was not expecting this at all. He just came up to the audience and all I wanted was a selfie. But my hands were shaking the moment he was near me. Thank God Daya was recording a video and he just came up to us and this happened. He put his arms around me, and I did the same HAHA (I swear I need to stop being this gatal and mentel when it comes to idols.)

The first YG artist that I hugged, to many more in future! 💕

I didn't really manage to hug Kush the other time hehehe

wife material, not yet

Finally after so many years living on this beautiful earth, I got the courage to let my friends taste my cooking.

Yesterday I was hanging out with Syahirah and Daya at Syahirah's condo. We sat by the pool while I gathered all the courage I could, handed them over a plastic container filled with Asam Pedas. Don't know what got into me yesterday, but really I was daring enough to actually packed some to let the girls try it.

Thank God Syahirah and Daya love it, and even said I'm #wifematerial.

Maybe I am ready for marriage.

Kidding, I'm not. Financially, mentally not ready.

Today, I decided to cook Ayam Lemak Cili Padi since Daya wants it. Well, my brothers and I felt like having it too. It looks really oily in photo but really, I didn't use a lot of oil. It's the coconut milk. I thought they tasted really spicy at first, but when I had them during dinner just now, it ain't that spicy. Just not as lemak as it should be, but that's because I mixed a little bit of coconut milk and some low-fat milk.

Daya said she loves it, my brothers love it too.

I'm so thankful that it turned out well and my loved ones love it! I can't wait to try even more dishes in the future. The thing about Malay dishes is that there is no specific measurements. Everything is ikut rasa hati, basically you follow your heart. Lucky for me, my heart can be trusted or else... oops!

Now now, what other dishes should I try? 🤔
At the rate I'm going, I should seriously open my own restaurant 💅🏼

chubs

Not planning at all to attend ATA but God has amazing ways to tell me that I am fated to watch Rossa live.

I'm not a huge fan of Rossa but come on, as a Malay girl, of course I know some of her songs by heart. Especially those puppy love days, you listen to all these heartbroken love songs like as if you can relate to them when actually, you don't.

I managed to even listen to Ku Menunggu live and singing along with her. That song brings back so many memories, and sometimes I sing to her songs during karaoke sessions.

All this couldn't have happened, if not for her.

This morning, the first thing that I saw when I woke up was a text from Sharifah. She asked whether I'm interested to watch Rossa live because she has a free ticket to spare. And in my heart, I'm all like, "NO KIDDING MAN. Of course I'm interested. No, I'm not that free but nothing's gonna stop me from seeing Rossa."

She told me that she has another ticket to spare and I just asked Syahirah to accompany me. Thank God she's free and Isa allowed her. Oh, the things that happen when you're in love and slowly settling down with your partner.

I sat beside a super cute guy. Turned out he's 18. Younger than me, but Syahirah never gives up on trying to ask me to make a move on him.

Seriously, my friends need to stop. When will people understand that I will never make a move on a guy that I am seriously interested in? I'm tired of getting disappointed over a guy.

Seriousness aside.

After the award show, I had to cover the after party because Daya couldn't cover it and also, to accompany Nab. As usual, once the media pass was in my hands, I made full use of it. While doing my work, I tried making friends with some of the people there. Hoping somehow, I can be cool like them HAHA who am I kidding, really... I've got a long way to go!

Bront Palarae

Initially he thought I was the organizer of the event. I wish dude, I wish I am THAT rich.

If you watch Malay films, of course you know him. He's always that bad guy in films, especially as a wife-beater. Tak sanggup saya dibantai suami tercinta. But I do wanna act as a woman who beats her husband, it'll be a cool plot twist. Think about it, guys.

Eleena Sui

All these while I thought she's not a Muslim because she's Chinese. After chatting with her, it turned out to be that she's a Muslim. Ni baru betul betul mix. Her mum's Chinese and her dad's Malay.

We casually talked about Fattah and Neelofa because we were on the whole topic of her acting as Inara in Suri Hati Mr Pilot. She's soooooo friendly, the type you can definitely hang out with.

Pierre Png

This one is definitely the highlight of the night.

He's known for his character as Phua Chu Beng in PCK, the one with a crazy wife who always calls him "Chuuuuuubs". He was surprised that he's known by many Malays, oh and he's a Peranakan. I didn't know that until he told me.

Right after this photo was taken, I just called him "Chuuuubs" like really guys, I was definitely NOT thinking. And then, I told him that I started watching him since I was Primary 4. He was like, "Oh wow thanks for reminding how old I am now..." and then laughed it off before giving me a hug.

All the fans waiting outside the media hall thought I was friends with him because we hugged before going separate ways. I wish guys, I wish.

A great night, definitely. 💓

steak with zarifah

Last Friday, I finally managed to catch up with Zarifah over a good dinner.

Zarifah wanted to eat some steak so we had a great catch up session over at The Royals Steakhouse. My first time dining there, and we almost got rejected because it was almost fully booked. Luckily they had one table left for 2 people.

Plus, our dinner session was totally unplanned. What's new when you're friends with me! Everything is impromptu.

I can safely say that I spent a bomb that night just on steak. About $40 gone just like that. What can I expect... nowadays eating out is getting more expensive. INFLATION.

Right after that, we walked in the rain to the other side of Bugis for some good Sticky Toffee Pudding which costs around $15 including GST. Thank God it tasted good because I would be crying out loud if it didn't.

While sharing the pudding, Zarifah and I had a good talk about how much we both have grown as individuals. Being friends with her has definitely changed me a lot. I used to not care about animals as much. But with her, damn. I'm more wary of animal testing products and other activities that involve wild animals like sharks. She can talk for hours about sharks, no joke. She also lectures me when she knows that I'm guilty of using animal-tested makeup products. I'm seriously trying my best 😁

I hope we can continue to make time for each other as we grow older and busier. Especially with the other 2013 girls. I seriously haven't been making enough time for them.

To grow old with amazing people around me 💕

update those photos, dunearn

Nothing much has happened. In fact, these days I haven't been doing anything much. Especially nothing beneficial and I should seriously be worried about how my future is going with the way I am living my life right now.

This will be the last week I spend my time so uselessly, promise. #liesItellmyself

Yesterday I went out with Nenek and my cousins.

I haven't been spending much time with my family, and I'm seriously guilty of it. Thank God last weekend I was free and I made time to shop around with my lovely siblings and parents in JB.

We went around Singapore yesterday. From NUH to Raffles area to Bugis. Not like the whole of Singapore, but I seriously felt sooooo tired. I'm getting weaker now, guys. Is this part of aging? We ended up at HYDE&CO. and had some waffles and pancakes.

Butterscotch Popcorn Waffle

So while waiting for my order, the waitress came up to me.

While stuttering, she asked whether I'm from Dunearn and I said yes. Apparently, she saw me on the school's handbook. When I was in Secondary 3, I was asked to dress as the "model" student. You know, the one who alters the skirt at the right length, with the neatest hairstyle one can never have in secondary school. I wish I had kept them. If anyone has those photos, please do share. I would wanna have a good laugh at my old self and reminisce all those good old times.

Well, I was a pretty good kid back then. That waitress is graduating this year,  and boy she recognizes me. I left secondary school 6 years ago, guess they didn't change the photo till now.

Someone has to tell the teachers in Dunearn to update those photos.

first selfie with a minister, i think

I don't know how true this is, but my dad has been telling me since forever that I have some Indian blood in me because my paternal grandfather is Indian. But really, it doesn't matter to me because all I could remember is that... he spoke to me in Malay. As much as I don't feel like any part of me is Indian, of course certain things have proved that I am somehow partially Indian.

Deepavali just passed and I didn't really have that many Indian friends until recently. My friends were mostly Malays and Chinese, and I'm glad along the way in this life, God has gifted with amazing Indian friends. Some who are so dear to me, I hope our friendships last till we are in heaven. Insha Allah.

Last Saturday, the mentors from MAEC were invited to a Deepavali lunch and I agreed to go to this event because... FREE FOOD. Truthfully, it's because my friends wanted to go and they wanted to go for the food. Never say no to free food, this is why I find it so hard to lose weight. And let's be honest, Indian food isn't really a good choice if you're trying to lose weight.

So the Deepavali lunch was probably (as far as I can remember!) my first Deepavali event that I have attended and hosted by the government, kinda.

This was my first serving.
(Yes I went for a second round, I substituted rice with cheese naan and added tandoori chicken as well.)

The food was fine. I was so freaking hungry so I didn't pay much attention to the taste. I just wanted to fill my stomach. I didn't eat breakfast before that, so the moment I arrived, I went to the table assigned to us, put my bag and rushed my friends to the area where they served the food. I WAS THAT HUNGRY GUYS. Thank god it was a buffet, not a course meal.

So many things happened during the lunch. I laughed so much with them, had some catch up session.

I went on stage once because Rhea really wanted to do so. (My friends wanted to go up on stage to sing Bole Chudiyan and I was somehow included into the group. They're so crazy!) So I participated in this game where you have to fit in as many ladies as possible inside a sarong. I got myself in that sarong and damn the aunties were no joke. I was clearly the smallest one in the group. We had to dance to the music while being inside that sarong. I somehow ended up in the middle, and aunties were grinding on me for a good 10 minutes. No joke, it felt like I was partying in a club. Those aunties were definitely party animals back in their young adult days!

This selfie was one of the highlights of the day.

Kashib and Rhea are both taking law and gosh they are so good with their words. Instead of going to Mr Murali and ask him for a selfie, he went to the minister and said, "Mr Murali, do you want to take a photo with me and my friends?" And then this photo happened. I can safely say that this is my first selfie with an MP up close. Right after all the craziness, Kashib confidently went like, "He wanted to take a photo with me guys."

Such friends. Still, love them so much.

Happy Deepavali to all my Hindu friends out there!

the day I became DJ Khaled

By now, everyone in this world probably knows (and also crazily worried!) that Trump just got elected as the new President of US. I'm not into politics that much... didn't really keep up with the whole US elections talk even though I know I should because whatever happens in the US (or any part of the world) affects Singapore.

I don't really know much about Trump. All I know is that he is the guy on Apprentice and well, I couldn't believe that he was running for presidency at first. I remembered going like.. "Wait, isn't he the guy on Apprentice? Can run for presidency?" Apparently, anyone can run for presidency which also explains the whole Kanye West running for presidency in 2020.

US seems to be going crazy right now. Everyone is panicking, some economies are not doing too well after the news came out. I hope everyone will take a step back and calm down a little bit. Focus on what's ahead. We can't really change the results now, so what we can do is pray that God opens up Trump's heart to have a change of heart and learn the true meaning of love and respect. Never ever underestimate the power of prayers.

Aside from all the seriousness today, Halloween just passed and I saw from my social media sites, some people dressed up as Trump. Halloween is the time people dress up to feel like someone else for a day. I don't celebrate Halloween because I'm such a coward who hates being near anything that makes me feel like I'm in a horror movie.

Who would you wanna be for a day if given the chance?

Last Friday, Weed made me order my Toffee Nut Frappuccino and challenged me to tell the barista that my name is DJ Khaled. Me being me, of course I accepted her challenge. The barista actually went like, "Is your name really DJ Khaled?" I laughed and just went, "Yes! Bless up!"

I became DJ Khaled for a day.

the best tour guide in town for idols

Jae is in Singapore right now for a holiday. He decided to catch up with the KMUSIC team here while spending some time to enjoy this little country and also, in between his meetings. He's the founder of KMUSIC, basically the boss of KMUSIC.

I swear he makes me feel like I should be doing something with my life like get my life on track as soon as possible so I can lead a lavish life in future.

Daya and I couldn't really think of where to go to make Singapore look cool as hell to a tourist. So we decided to just bring him around MBS since he's staying there and he hasn't seen much of that place. Plus, Bayfront is my favourite place in Singapore.

We brought him to Art Science Museum which he didn't even know exist initially... and he was soooooo amazed by the Future World exhibition. He was even more happy to know that TOP came to this exhibition as well. Oh well, what can I say... this is what happens when fans unite.

After touring the exhibition, Daya wanted to show him the LV store at MBS. The first thing he asked us was whether he was under dressed. Seriously dude, you're wearing smart shoes and pants?! I wore gym attire to LV store and no one said a thing...

We then told him that in Singapore, people don't really dress up. Let's face it, no one really dresses up unless you're going to town. Then again, those who dresses up in Singapore are those who wear for the brand so they can be cool. #hipsters #coolkids

We all know the ones with the money rarely dress up because one, they don't bother about fashion because it takes too much space and time for their brains. Two, they don't have to dress to impress anyone. People just keep coming to them because their money attracts others more than anything.

Today Jae treated Daya and I at C2K. We made him come all the way to our neighbourhood to really experience the real Singapore. It was worth it for him anyway. Daya booked a $13 GrabHitch ride for him from MBS to Choa Chu Kang Park, and he got to ride a convertible with the roof retracted. How lucky!

We also brought him to Lot One and pasar malam. He was so happy because it feels like home to him.

He definitely saw a different side of Singapore today. I'm glad that Daya and I did an amazing job showing him around Singapore, aside from talking about KMUSIC stuff. Maybe I should consider being a tour guide. I'll be the best tour guide in Singapore, especially if you're an idol.

My experience being part of KMUSIC has been nothing but amazing. I've met so many people, so many celebrities... even some I didn't know of initially, but eventually got to know them and checked them out. Then I became fans of them.

I hope things get even better from here. Maybe like some agency take me as an idol? 😂  Who are you kidding Syafiqah, you can't even sing or dance well sigh

On another note, I'm still hoping for someone to surprise me with a ticket to catch Afgan live. If only I can get paid going for concerts all day err day, life would be even more amazing than it already is.

His SIDES album is really goooooood. Yeah, I'm pretty biased because my Mama's boy is featured in this album. But really, check out his SIDES album! X is my favourite song in his album, and no, my favourite part is not the part when Sonaone is rapping.

I can't hug him in real life, so poster pun jadi la. Sigh I really wanna see him live guys! It's days away from his concert and I'm not going noooooooooooo 😭

suri hati... what?

I finally finished reading Suri Hati Mr Pilot. I wanted to read the book first before continuing on the drama. The drama has been not so bad, the acting definitely needs a lot of improvement. And the whole awkward english sentences definitely got to go! But oh well, I'm not even an actress so I should really just shut up 🙊

I used to be so into dramas but lately, I haven't gotten the mood to watch dramas. Also, time ain't really on my side.

The plot is pretty cliché. I don't know why but a lot of Malay dramas these days are about being forced into marriage with someone you do not even like and then you fall in love and tada, happily ever after.

I mean, come on. You can always say no when the Tok Kadi asks whether you wanna get married to the person that you don't even love. How can you marry someone you don't even love? Oh shit, I'm sounding more like Warda, the main girl in this novel HAHA let's hope I don't run away on my engagement day or my wedding day in the future. 🌚

One thing that I really can never understand... in this novel, Warda calls her husband Mr. Pilot?! Isn't that hella awkward? I mean I get that initially it's like your crush's code name. But do you tell him his code name once you know he's in love with you? Is this normal or am I just the only one who finds weird? Code names for guys are meant for your girlfriends to gossip with each other, right?

Oh well, can you imagine if I write all these love stories about my crushes? I used to write short stories about love in Malay and even won awards for it. I'll start with...

Suri Hati Mr. Singer (That'll be about me and bae.)

Just kidding, I'm too lazy and the story plot will be too merepek.

he said yes

Daya and I have been busy so we haven't really been spending REAL time together. Most of the time, we meet about 2 hours just to work out or eat some McDonalds' together.

Things also have been rough for the past few days but we're good now. All I can say is that, things are getting better from here. Definitely.

Yesterday, we finally headed out to Lau Pa Sat and Bayfront to have some time together. Also, to plan on what to say to Dad because we wanna go on a trip together...

People have been telling me that my parents are not strict when I told others that they are strict. But trust me guys, they are. Especially Dad. He is strict and well, what luck, he has a stubborn daughter who will do whatever it takes to get what she wants.

I was soooooo nervous when I wanted to ask him for permission to go on this trip with Daya. I even had this urge to do a powerpoint presentation for him.

He asked me for details on the trip, who I'm going with, whether I'm sure I'll be safe because 2 anak dara going to a foreign country sounds so dangerous... the list goes on. He asked me so many questions, I swear it felt worse than going for a job interview.

Of course, I had everything under control. I practised it with my trusted buddy before I went home. And me being me, of course I had every answer to his annoying questions.

And today at about 9 p.m., he said YES. I swear it felt like I proposed to a guy for his hand in marriage and he agreed to marry me! 🎉

Right now, I'm in the midst of planning my trip. I don't know about you, but I'm hella excited! So many things I wanna do honestly, but that's not possible because time and budget constraint... I even wanted to add "bathing with elephants" into our itinerary.

May Allah SWT protects the two of us during this trip and we bring nothing but all the good things with us back home!

I know Dad is honestly so worried and that only means he loves me... He even jokingly told me that he would book a hotel opposite us to spy on us. Pretty sure he ain't joking tho. Dad I got this, you gotta trust your daughter.

My brothers are jealous because I got to go on a holiday with my friend and they kept saying how unfair it is I got this whole thing called "freedom" but really boys, you guys will get a taste of it soon. For now, let me play the mean sister role and flicks my hair in front of you guys. 💅🏼

Thank you Allah SWT for such understanding and loving parents, also for amazing friends around me.

Shopping Queen Nenek

Grandparents, oh they have a special place in my heart.
They can do anything, and everything is still all good.

Today Nenek got me really pissed because she spent a bomb on something so useless. If you're watching Shopping King Louis, Nenek's spending habit reminds me of Louis. Watch the drama if you haven't! You will understand how frustrated I was with her just now. I really felt like I was on fire when I got to know of her recent buy. Things are good now, of course.

I know I shouldn't be angry because that's her money, so it's her choice to buy what she wanna buy but I just can't help it. She's soooooo easily swoon by all these strangers that try to sell her stuff. You can just try to sell her anything by saying this and that, next thing I know it's already on my dining table or some corner of my house.

I swear I got my shopaholic genes from her 😒

healthy change

When I told my friends I've not been on social media much, they don't seem to believe me. But really guys, I've been really inactive on social media compared to before.

I barely check my Instagram now, maybe like 4 to 6 times in a day. I used to check them like more than a hundred times a day.

I'm super active on Snapchat on some days, and then BOOM I'm back into the no-snapchat cave.

I tweet lesser than normal now, I used to be the girl who posts like maybe 100 tweets a day.

As much as I'm tired of how people define you by your social media accounts, I still keep my accounts because there are just too many memories with my social media accounts. I can safely say that I grew up with social media. Come on, my whole generation do.

I'm loving this change, and I'm slowly finding it a healthy change. Because I realize I'm able to live in the moment better than before. I still do take out my phone once in a while when I'm out to capture special moments so that I can one day go back and reminisce those days again.

Just like how I love reading this blog (and my previous blogs) and watch my dear self grow.

I used to even freak out over what to eat for recess and I blogged about it?! Can you guys believe it? I was so lame.

Things have changed and so far, I'm enjoying every single moment of it.

lame movie

I've been keeping myself busy and finally just now, after months, I went to watch a movie.

Andy Lau has a new movie titled Mission Milano so I just couldn't help it and told myself that I had to catch it no matter what. Lucky for me, Daya is so sporting and went to watch it with me. I'm actually quite a fan of Andy Lau, but of course not as crazy as how I am with my Korean boys HAHA

The movie was LAME. Like legit, MEREPEK. I thought it'll be like all cool but the feeling after watching this movie was the same when I went to watch From Vegas to Macau 3. So merepek, I don't even know why I wanted to watch this movie. I mean, come on what happened to the good old Chinese movies? Same feelings like how I feel for Hindi movies nowadays...

Someone has gotta save the entertainment industry as soon as possible man.

Nonetheless, I still had a good time with Daya.

Oh, and I didn't get diarrhea from her kimbap. So it's all good. She can now consider opening a Korean restaurant.

bad cravings

So I'm taking a break from studying now, and my mind is thinking about cooking some good hot ramen once I'm done with my to-do list for today. I don't know why but every single time I'm studying, I crave for some instant noodles so badly. Sometimes I will give in and whip up some maggi, sometimes I ignore and try to sleep the craving away.

I know snacking while studying is normal. Good, if you snack the healthy stuff. But we all know how much I'm not into the whole health food. Once in a while, I do try to cook something healthy like ginseng soup, or add some vegetables on my plate. (Maybe like one slice of lettuce?)

But one thing I can never understand, why do I always crave for unhealthy food? Why don't I crave for carrots? Or salad without any dressing? Or healthy juice drink? I definitely need to change my diet as soon as possible. NEED, if I wanna age well.

What do you crave for when you're studying or doing some work?

finding happy self

How's everyone feeling right now?

I haven't been updating much because I'm finding this "happy" self in me back. Yeah, I've been feeling rather down for the past few months and I'm still figuring out why... Probably because I've been overthinking about my future way too much, to the point I'm just wasting my time. Really.

Anyway, I just got back from a jog. Oh it feels so good to be running twice a week now. I've been on my third week. Ever since school starts. Let's see how long am I gonna keep up with this crazy life I'm on.

That aside. Daya made Kimbap for me. (Honestly, I think she made it for someone else. But it's okay, at least she gave some to me.) I shall try the Kimbap now, even though she told me it tasted like shit. Let's hope it tastes pretty decent and my sensitive tummy can take it. 🙂

BIGBANG MADE [V.I.P] TOUR Fanmeet in Singapore

Bigbang is here again, and of course I had to go!

I've attended so many festivals and concerts, Bigbang concerts are still my favourite ones. You want some UMF kinda music... you'll get that at Bigbang's concert. You want a little hip hop, you'll also get it at Bigbang's concert. You want some ballads, well... you can get that from Bigbang too, kinda. Their concerts are a must-go for me! Heck, they can come down to Singapore for anything... I'll just make myself possibly there!

This time round, Bigbang is here for a fanmeet. I saw people updating about today's fanmeet and how perfect everything was... I'm sorry (nah, not really) but I beg to differ. The boys looked so tired, they played only one game with fans and... the stage looked way too budget for Bigbang. I know it's just a fanmeet so I shouldn't expect live band playing like a concert... but really the sound system ain't that great. Basically, if you've been to Bigbang's previous fanmeets and concerts, you'll know how bad it is.

Nevertheless, I still had fun. I enjoyed dancing and screaming my heart out tonight. I didn't even bother to take out my phone and spam it with videos and photos like I usually do. All I did was just take a few shots here and there, and enjoy the night away.

They shared that they're coming back here again and all I could think of is... stop it YG, I need to save my money. Honestly, I do still wanna see them in Singapore again but... please give us fans more time to save up. Not just tell us about the concert date and expect the ticket sales date to be the next day.

This fanmeet is a good example. Luckily I had enough savings and got to know of people who can help me get tickets just in time so that I won't miss out too much.

A good concert/fanmeet experience usually happens if the organizer is a good one.
#justsaying

They were a great bunch to hang out with tonight and the best part was... I didn't even plan to buy this T-shirt. They bought for fun, and I was the only one left who didn't wanna buy. Ended up I just got it because everyone else bought one. #definitelysleepingwithtaeyang

I hope Bigbang comes to Singapore again, preferably with other YG artists and The Band Six.
Not because I know Bennie, but because I really love Bigbang's performances with live music.
I also wanna see other YG artists performing in Singapore.

Tried to pull off the whole Bigbang's girlfriends' (read: Min Hyorin) look, how did I fair?

more alone time

Current phase: Malay foooooood.

I haven't been myself lately and I'm not sure why. Lesser social life honestly, but I'm not complaining at all. In fact, I'm enjoying it. I guess as time passes by I'm starting to enjoy my alone time even more.

Today I went to MBS alone just to have some Mee Rebus. It just felt so good to be out spending time eating slowly (not really, finish it in 10 minutes because I've been wanting to eat it for weeks) and looking at other people, especially those with their families. It was great to see them laughing, crying, fighting and bullying their loved ones. Oh how I miss spending some time out with my family. We all have been busy so we haven't been going out as a family for a long time now.

I went home and spent some time with my brothers and Nenek, watching APM. Yuna won 1 award and Sona didn't even got nominated. The performances ain't that wow. Someone need to employ me to plan for next year's APM because seriously... it's pretty disappointing?

Nothing much has happened in my life. The only thing I'm looking forward to right now is...
BIGBANG 💕

Finally, I'm gonna meet them again after a year plus. As much as I'm excited for it, I'm also not excited over it because after this, I might not see them again for some time. Maybe I will, I don't know. YG just needs to stop making me spend money on their artists. Can't wait for this Sunday!

My article for Dean is up.
